Specifications: 1,700 tons. Laid down 1942 (Armstrong, Barrow.) Completed July 1944. Complement:  186.

1944-5 - Home Fleet. 1945-6 - British Pacific Fleet. 1946-50 - Local Flotilla and Boy's Training, Rosyth. 1950-1 - 4th Training Flotilla, Rosyth. 1951-3 - Conversion to Type 15 A/S Frigate . 1953-5 - 5th Frigate Squadron, Mediterranean. 1956 - Refit, Cardiff. 1956-76 - Transferred to South African navy. 1976 - Sunk as target.

Battle Honours: Baltic - 1854, Crimea - 1855.

"Z" Class Destoyer. One of eight: Zambesi, Zealous, Zebra, Zenith, Zest, Zodiac, Myngs, Zephyr.

Specifications: 1,710 tons. Laid down 1942 (Thorneycroft, Southampton.) Completed July 1944. Complement 186.

1944-45 Artic & Norway. 1945 - Refit. 1946-47 - 4th Destroyer Flotilla Home Fleet. 1947 Reserve. 1947-8 - Portsmouth Flotilla (torpedo training squadron). 1948-49 - Portland Training Squadron. 1952-54 - Nore Local  Flotilla & Reserve, Chatham. 1954-56 - Conversion to Type 15 A/S Frigate, Chatham. 1956-58 - 3rd Training Squadron, Londonderry. 1958-61 - 4th Frigate Squadron . 1961-64 - Refit, Malta. 1964-68 - 24th Escort Squadron, Far East. 1968-70 - Reserve, Plymouth. 1970 - Towed from Devonport to Dalmuir to be broken up.
